Sit back with a drink and settle in to enjoy a live, interactive, immersive audio performance by Grammy award-winning percussionist Will Calhoun, featuring an innovative, multi-sensory experience based on Calhoun's work featured in the Traces exhibition at MoMath.

Join the presenters and participants of MOVES 2022 — The Fascination of Puzzles — for an evening of mathematical entertainment at Monday Night MOVES.

You won't want to miss the evening's events, with a screening of the documentary Miyamoto and the Machine, followed by a panel discussion with Robert Fuhrer and Aaron Kaswell; a musical performance by multiple Grammy-award winning drummer for the band Living Colour, Will Calhoun; and a post-performance discussion with Will and Steve Strogatz, MoMath's Distinguished Visiting Professor for the Public Dissemination of Mathematics.

Will hosts an online workshop with Creative Music Studio on "Frequency Rhythmic Assimilation." Acoustic sound waves and electronic frequencies will merge when Will demonstrates indigenous rhythms with electronic music improvisation, and its role in acoustic music settings, Jazz, Rock, Funk, Pop, and alternative music forms.

Time: 11 a.m. EST for both May 9, 2021 and May 23, 2021.
