Will leads his ensemble in exploring Afro Futurism Jazz that bonds swing, urban beats, West African rhythms, Indigenous sounds, electronic trance, and "The Bronx Flava." Expect an effervescent evening of syncopation, colliding styles, and master drumming. Will is joined by special guest and fellow Living Colour member Corey Glover on vocals. This live event takes place at Dizzy's Club, part of Jazz at Lincoln Center.

It will be hosted by Marcus G. Miller, a saxophonist with a Harvard University master's degree in mathematics. The keynote speaker will be Stephon Alexander, a professional saxophonist, and he will offer his insights and coordinate a unique musical performance. Jazz drummer, pianist, and composer Jack DeJohnette brings together an all-star lineup in tribute to Miles Davis.

Will Special Guest of Kathryn Bostic in LA for Premiere of Two New Film Scores
Composer and singer-songwriter Kathryn Bostic is the first female African American score composer in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Join Kathryn and her special guest, Will Calhoun, for the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures' world premiere of two films with new scores by her: "Something Good - Negro Kiss" (1898) and "The Flying Ace" (1926.)
It's the closing weekend of the fantastic "Regeneration Exhibit" at The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures with a live performance of Kathryn's original score to select scenes from incredible curated silent films. Joining Kathryn for the performance will be Grammy winning artist Will Calhoun from the iconic band Living Colour as well as a wonderful string quartet with Joel Pargman-violin, Carrie Kennedy - violin, Lauren Elizabeth Baba-viola, Giovanna Moraga Clayton-cello, and Geoffrey Pope - conductor.

Will in 20th Annual Bronx River Sounds Performing Arts Festival
Will leads his Euphonious Ensemble in exploring "Afro Futurism Jazz" — a truly special musical experience featuring: urban beats, West African rhythms, indigenous sounds, electronic trance, with a huge touch of "The Bronx Flava." Your mind, body, spirit, will be musically transported.
The 2023 Bronx River Sounds Performing Arts Festival is co-produced by Will Calhoun, Ron West and BRAC's ED, Gail Nathan. It is supported by a New York City Coalition of Theatres of Color Council Initiative.
The festival runs from June 2 to 24th, with Will's performance on Saturday, June 17th. Please check the Website or poster links below for other dates and artists — there are lots of great performances to check out!
